Our dear friend Rhonda is once again facing the fight of her life.

Sadly at the end of June, Rhonda and her family received the devastating news that she has leukemia again. After courageously battling leukemia eight years ago, she is now back in Vancouver receiving treatment. This journey requires her to undergo intensive treatment at VGH, a stem cell transplant, and leaving home behind for several months so she can receive the care she needs.

As many of you know, the Skofteby family are very private and would not ask for financial help. However, with significant expenses—including a small rental suite for Rhonda to stay in near the hospital, costly medications, travel so her children can see her and many other unforeseen needs that come with treatment—friends, colleagues, and community members felt moved to create this fundraiser as a way to support them during this incredibly difficult time.

Beyond financial help we know it would mean a lot to Rhonda if you could consider donating blood or stem cells.
