My name is Pam Tankersley, and I’m writing on behalf of my dear friends, Kevin and Bethany Stanford, during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Kevin is 37 years old, a devoted husband to Bethany, and a loving father to their 6-year-old son, Summit. For the past 10 years, Kevin has worked faithfully at Goodyear Auto Service, always showing up with a strong work ethic and a willingness to help others. Bethany is a kindergarten teacher at Trenton Elementary School, where Summit is also a student this year—a season that should be filled with joy and milestones for their family.

Kevin and Bethany are the type of people who will go above and beyond for those around them. Whether it’s supporting friends, helping their community, or simply showing kindness in everyday moments, they are always putting others first. Now, they are the ones who need support.

Over the past several months, Kevin has been battling ongoing sickness without clear answers. After many doctor visits and growing concern, their world was turned upside down when they received a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 gastric adenocarcinoma, an advanced form of stomach cancer.

Shortly after his diagnosis, Kevin faced a serious complication—a 90% blockage that required him to undergo a gastrojejunostomy. While this procedure has helped, it is only the beginning of a long and challenging road ahead.

Kevin is now under the care of the incredible team at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, and he will begin treatments soon. This journey will require him to travel to Nashville every two weeks for care, all while being unable to work during this time.

As you can imagine, this has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial burden on their family. With Kevin on medical leave and Bethany balancing her role as a teacher and mother, the added costs of medical care, travel, and everyday living expenses are quickly adding up.

We are asking for help to ease the financial strain so Kevin can focus on what matters most—fighting this disease and spending precious time with his family. Donations will go toward medical expenses, travel to and from Nashville, and daily needs during this incredibly challenging time.

Above all, we believe that God is the ultimate healer, and we are praying boldly for a miracle for Kevin. We ask that you join us in prayer for strength, healing, and peace for Kevin, Bethany, and Summit in the days ahead.
