New Update!

Brian is home!!! His family will arrive back from cruise late Saturday night. The Fichter Family, as well as all of us, is beyond grateful for your prayers and contributions. Please continue to pray for his healing and strength. Brian is so strong and is seeing first hand how loved he is. Thank you all

He had surgery yesterday in Miami…by a miracle it had not gotten to the bone so not more amputation needed. He’s up doing a little physical therapy this morning, and if he seems strong enough they are going to let him fly home. My one sister is going to pick him up…she has the wheelchair. He’s looking forward to getting home. They just need to make sure there is no chance of blood clots on flight

As many of you may know, my brother-in-law, Brian Fichter has been battling type 1 diabetes that has led to health issues for a couple years now. These complications have led to some amputations on his feet and additional health concerns. However, with doctor help and his willingness to comply with ALL medical expectations…things were improving and he was starting to get a sense of life back.

This week, his family planned a cruise from New Orleans that set sail yesterday. Today an unexpected emergency occurred where he is needing to be airlifted to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for an emergency surgery. Details are vague at this time, as communication has been somewhat difficult. We are praying infection isn’t growing and that he can get the help he needs.

Tomorrow they dock in Cozumel, Mexico and he will be flown from there to FL. His family is unable to go due to lack of passports and international travel, so he will make this trip with his son-in-law solely as he is in law enforcement.

We are creating this donation site to try and help with some of the  unbelievable expenses they will endure while trying to pray for the health of their dad/husband. Funds will be used to help with medical bills and for the family to get back up on their feet. Praying God will hold a steady hand over him and He delivers the right people to all the right places.
