Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to share our story and ask for your support for our beautiful 8 month old son, Casey.

Casey has been diagnosed with craniosynostosis, a condition where the bones in a baby’s skull fuse too early. He’s scheduled for major surgery on the 11th of November, 2025, to reshape his skull and give his brain the space it needs to grow and develop safely.

We arrived in Adelaide on the 5/11, beginning what will be a long and emotional journey. Every day leading up to surgery, we have medical appointments, scans, and specialist visits to prepare Casey for his big day. After the operation, he’ll need to stay nearby for an unknown amount of time while he recovers.

This is something no parent can ever truly prepare for hearing your baby needs major surgery and watching them go through it is the hardest thing imaginable. But through every moment, Casey has shown us just how strong and brave he is. His smile never fades, even on the toughest days, and he reminds us constantly why we’re fighting so hard for him.

Thanks to the incredible Ronald McDonald House Adelaide, our family has been able to stay together during this time. Without them, one of us would have had to stay behind, and we can’t imagine facing this apart. The support here has been absolutely unbelievable they have given us a warm, safe home filled with compassion, kindness, and understanding. It’s not just a place to stay it’s a place where families like ours can breathe, cry, laugh, and heal together.

Our two older boys, Charlie (3) and Luka (2), are with us as well. They adore their baby brother and bring so much light and laughter into every day. Ronald McDonald House has made sure they still get to be kids playing, smiling, and feeling safe while we focus on Casey’s care.

We’ve also been supported by Craniofacial Australia and the PATS scheme, who are helping cover travel, fuel, and some food expenses that Ronald McDonald House can’t provide. Their kindness has made this incredibly difficult time just a little bit easier.

Because we’ve received so much love and help, we want to give back. We’ve decided that half of all funds raised will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Adelaide and Craniofacial Australia, so they can continue supporting other families like ours, families who find themselves far from home, scared, and holding on to hope.

The remaining funds will help us manage time off work during Casey’s surgery and recovery, ensuring we can all stay close and focus entirely on helping him heal.

We’ll be posting updates throughout Casey’s surgery and recovery journey to keep everyone informed and to share how your kindness is helping not only our family, but many others too.
