Everyone knows Zeke my dog I rescued a few years ago. He has always been a loving , healthy and energetic companion, since December 17th he has been straining to relieve himself and his food and water intake slowed down. We’ve made numerous trips to the emergency hospital which included ultrasounds, X-rays, urine and blood work, but every test comes back negative. Despite all the effort, we still don’t have answers. Zeke’s energy and fluid levels dropped and varied to critical points so low that they recommended putting him down. I opted with one alternative to continue with meds and electrolytes hoping it would make a difference. In the first 12 hours he started to respond to the meds as well as his numbers moving the right direction. The uncertainty and worry has been overwhelming, especially as the bills continue to climb with each visit. We are left with more questions than answers at this piont as we wait for one more test to come in . The specialists at the hospital are working diligently and are making great strides to help Zeke. The costs are starting to add up quickly. The funds raised here will go directly toward paying off Zeke’s current medical bills as well as covering part of the costs of future vet visits and treatments.
