Our daughter Camille is raising money again this year for nLorem, the foundation that is working on a treatment for the nano rare genetic condition she suffers from, called RHOBTB2.

Each year, nLorem asks their nano rare patients to create a painting to raise funds/money to help support the work they do to create a unique treatment for each child that otherwise wouldn’t be possible because big pharmaceutical companies would never create a treatment for such a rare condition.

nLorem is currently working on a treatment for Camille and many other kids who suffer from similar nano rare genetic conditions. They rely solely on private donations to fund the research to manufacture the treatments for the children. Each treatment is specific to the individual patient.

This year we are hoping to pool the donations to make one large donation on Camille’s behalf and donate her painting to the organization.

A little about our brave girl- Camille struggles to do everyday tasks that come so easy to so many of her peers. She is nonverbal, she cannot dress herself, brush her teeth, she struggles with her coordination - making it hard to do seemingly simple things like using utensils, holding a pencil, getting into a car, walking up the stairs, following directions, using the bathroom, swinging on a swing at the playground …and the list goes on. She is completely reliant on us to care for her. The treatment from nLorem could make a huge difference in her everyday life. Recipients of treatments have experienced huge improvements in their life and that is our wish for Camille someday… that life wouldn’t be so hard for her.

We are hoping that you will consider donating to a cause that will help our special girl who we are so proud of. Life is 100 times harder for her but you would never know it based on her contagious smile and “happy hands”.

Every contribution, no matter the size, matters to us and matters to kids like Camille who have been robbed of so much because they weren’t created like you and me.

Her painting this year is called “Hope for Unicorns” and she is very proud of it. Camille is our unicorn because she is truly one of a kind, so special and so rare.
