I never imagined I would have to write these words or ask for help this way but today I am fighting for something that means everything to me: keeping my family together.

My wife Rishda has been detained by ICE for over a month and from one moment to the next, our lives completely changed.

We are a small family of three with a beautiful 5-month-old baby girl. My wife is an incredibly hardworking woman who has always done everything in her power to provide for us and protect our family. Before her detention, she was the primary financial provider for our household and one of the strongest sources of emotional support in our little family. Her absence has left a space that is impossible to describe not only financially but emotionally as well.

Our daughter should be spending these precious first months surrounded by the love and presence of both of her moms. Instead, I am doing everything I can to stay strong for our baby while also fighting for my wife and trying to hold our family together.

Anyone who has children knows how quickly these early months pass. Every new smile, every milestone and every little discovery is a moment we can never get back. Knowing that my wife is missing this time with our daughter has been one of the most painful parts of this experience.

For more than a month, we have done everything we could to handle this situation on our own. We have now exhausted our savings trying to cover legal expenses and our family's financial responsibilities while my wife remains detained. Without the income she provided and with legal costs continuing to grow, we have reached a point where we simply cannot carry this burden alone.

But we refuse to lose hope.

We are seeking the legal help necessary to fight for our family. The funds raised through this campaign will go toward attorney fees, legal representation, filings, and other expenses directly related to her immigration case.

Asking for financial help is not easy for me. But as a wife and a mother, there is nothing I would not do to fight for my family.

If you are able to donate, any amount—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference. And if donating isn't possible, simply sharing our story can help us reach someone who may be able to support us.

We are not asking for luxuries or comforts. We are asking for the opportunity to give my wife the legal representation she needs and to fight for the chance to have our family together again.

To everyone who donates, shares our story, keeps our family in their thoughts, or sends us words of encouragement: thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

During one of the most difficult chapters of our lives, every act of kindness means more than words can express.

We will continue fighting with love, hope, and everything we have to bring our family back together.

Thank you for helping two moms and their little girl find their way back to each other ❤️
