Hearts are heavy this week as fire tore through the home of Cruz and Jenny (Marien) Flores, leaving not only their house uninhabitable, but also taking two irreplaceable members of their family – their beloved pups, Augie and Tucker. This heartbreaking loss comes at a time when the Flores family already needed all the strength they could muster. Jenny, a fighter through and through, has been battling stage 4, lung cancer, and now this additional burden feels almost insurmountable.

Cruz and Jenny are the kind of people who would give the shirts off their backs to those in need. They're hard-working, self-employed, and the type of neighbors who make a community strong.
