CBCWC Clean Water Project

33497350_1538700775795273_r.jpegWhat would you do to make the world a better place?  We decided one way was to help people have access to clean water.

We learned that 844 million people in the world live without access to clean water and nearly 1 million people die every year from diseases related to dirty water and sanitation.  Sadly, every 2 minutes another child dies from water related diseases.

We wanted to help save lives by raising awareness about the global water crisis, but also by choosing to help a single village that desperately needed clean water.

We decided to raise $12,000 to build a Water Resource and Sanitation System for a single hill tribe village in northern Thailand. The money will be used to construct a village water supply system ($6,000); construct a latrine system for the whole village to help keep the water supply safe ($4,000); create a garden for each family ($1,000); and provide training in hygiene, sanitation and watershed management ($1,000).  The Water Resource and Sanitation System will help save the lives of villagers for generations.

Raising awareness about this need is as important to us as raising the money. The more people who become aware of the problem, the more people will be able to help and also address their own water use.

We want to reach and raise the awareness of at least 1,000 people regarding the global water crisis. so, we made rule: individual donors to our particular project can only give $12.  If you want to contribute more, tell someone else to donate to our project - or - you can contribute additional money to another organization that addresses the global water crisis.

We want to raise the $12,000 as quickly as possible. Please consider giving $12 and sharing this with someone else.

For $12 you could buy two Big Mac meals.

For $12 you could buy an early bird movie ticket with a small popcorn.

Or, for $12 you could help save a life.

Please help us save lives!

Thank you and God bless you!
