Hi, my name is Tara Panta—and I never imagined I’d be writing this.

In March 2021, I was diagnosed with invasive carcinoma of the left breast. Since then, my cancer has progressed and metastasized to my bones and lungs. My diagnosis is now advanced breast cancer with bone and lung metastasis, and it’s ER, PR, and HER2-positive, with a Ki-67 index of 20%—indicating an aggressive form of cancer.

Over the past few years, I have undergone multiple rounds of treatment, including:

Palliative chemotherapy

Herceptin and hormonal therapy

Zoledronic acid

And currently, Pertuzumab and Trastuzumab, which offer hope—but come with a very high financial burden.

My treatment is ongoing at the Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Harisiddhi, Lalitpur, under the expert care of Dr. Bijesh Raj Ghimire. I’m deeply grateful for the medical support I’ve received, but the costs of continuing care are far beyond what I can manage alone.

Despite the exhaustion and pain, I’ve kept going with courage. But now I need to pause, breathe, and ask for help—so I can fully focus on healing.
