Hope for Shawq: A Decade of Battling Kidney Failure Alone
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tammie, and I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to help a dear friend of ours, Shawq, who has been bravely battling kidney failure since she was just a teenager. At only 24 years old, Shawq has faced this debilitating illness alone, without the support of family or financial stability.
Despite her immense challenges, she works three days a week, in and around her treatments, just to cover her rent, but it's not enough. Shawq struggles to afford her necessary medication and rarely can enjoy a decent meal. Recently, she has fallen behind on her rent and is now facing the threat of eviction. The situation has become so dire that she is contemplating palliative care, simply because the struggle to survive has become overwhelming.
Shawq spends countless hours each week on dialysis, a grueling process that drains her physically and emotionally. Her condition requires a 100% donor match for a transplant, a rare and critical necessity. Just this morning, she experienced a fleeting moment of hope when she was told a perfect match had been found, only to have her dreams shattered when the organ was deemed non-viable. The emotional rollercoaster of such news is almost unbearable.
We want Shawq to know she is not alone and that she deserves all the love and support the world can offer. We are seeking your help to give her the best possible life for as long as she can. Your generous donations will go towards her medication, rent, and basic necessities, ensuring she can continue her fight with dignity and hope. Let's come together as a community to show Shawq that she is valued, supported, and loved.
