Hope for Sam: A Community's Call to Action

As many of you may already know, our dear friend and colleague, Samantha Paskorz, has been facing one of the toughest battles of her life. Earlier this year, she received the devastating news of a stomach cancer diagnosis. Since then, Samantha has shown immense strength and resilience as she undergoes various treatments and procedures.

We recently received a medical update on Samantha's condition, and while there is some positive news, the road ahead remains challenging. The chemotherapy treatments have shown some success in halting the spread of the cancer, but she still faces a critical decision. Her doctors have presented two options: undergoing a significant surgery to remove her stomach or pursuing a holistic approach in Arizona, which comes with its own set of challenges and immense expenses.

After careful consideration, Samantha and her family have decided to proceed with the surgery. While this decision offers hope for her recovery, it also means facing substantial medical expenses and logistical challenges. The surgery is scheduled for April 19th at Cleveland Clinic, where she will remain hospitalized for seven days, followed by an extended recovery period of at least eight weeks.

As Samantha focuses on her treatment and recovery, her family is shouldering the responsibilities of managing daily life, including caring for their two boys and navigating the logistics of frequent trips to the hospital. The financial strain of medical bills, travel expenses, and accommodations adds an additional layer of stress during this already difficult time.
