Hope for Sahara – Holding On, With a Little Help

Hi, I’m Tish — and I’m sharing this as a mother doing her best to stay strong while her daughter fights the biggest battle of her young life.

My 13-year-old daughter, Sahara, has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia — a rare, life-threatening condition where the bone marrow fails to produce the blood cells her body needs to survive. It’s a quiet kind of illness — invisible to most — but it has changed everything for us.

She’s already been through more than most adults. Two potential bone marrow transplants have fallen through, and now we’re preparing for ATG treatment, which comes with a long recovery and countless unknowns.

I'm currently not working so I can be with Sahara every step of the way.

That means we’re now facing growing financial pressure — from the constant hospital travel and time away from home to just trying to stay afloat while I care for her full-time.

Why This Fundraiser?

I’ve created this page not just to help with the basics — travel, bills, and the day-to-day — but also to bring moments of comfort and light into Sahara’s world.

This isn’t easy to write. Asking for help never is. But Sahara is everything to me, and if there’s a way to make her days even a little bit brighter, then I have to try.
