Help Support Rhys and His Family After a Life-Changing Accident

On the 8/9/25 , our world was turned upside down. My 26-year-old brother, Rhys, went to test drive a car—a routine task many of us have done without a second thought. But something went terribly wrong. As he was about to pay for the car, he suddenly suffered a seizure. He lost consciousness, hitting his head on the concrete ground. What followed was even more devastating: while in the ambulance, he suffered three more seizures. By the time the ambulance reached the hospital, he was placed him in an induced coma to try and stabilize him.

Rhys had suffered a traumatic brain injury, including a brain bleed, and required emergency surgery to remove a portion of his skull to relieve the pressure on his brain. Multiple surgeries followed, as the medical team worked tirelessly to save his life. For 16 agonizing days, we stood by, not knowing what the outcome would be. Would he wake up? Would he recover?

Our mum has barely left his side since the accident, spending every day at the hospital supporting him. On top of that, my brother is the proud dad of a beautiful little girl who is almost 3 years old. This has been incredibly hard on his daughter, and the financial stress is adding to the emotional strain on our family.

We are asking for support to help ease the burden on our mum and family during this difficult time. Any funds raised will go towards:
• Supporting my brother’s ongoing care and recovery
• Helping Mum with daily costs while she is at the hospital
• Providing stability for his young daughter during this uncertain time

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our family through this incredibly tough time
