Hope for the Disabled Community in Plateau, Nigeria.

Tax deductible
When a child with a disability walks with braces and crutches in his community, it invites curious onlookers and noisy name-callers. People with disabilities in Bassa and Plateau State are rarely accepted, respected, or treated as fully human. Even families discriminate against disabled family members who are physically challenged. They are cursed, insulted, and tormented for bringing bad luck to the family. Employers, too, see them as a burden because they are not as agile as their able-bodied counterparts. Seed of Hope observed that many people with disabilities and their families are living a life of hopelessness and isolation. However, there is great hope: we can make a difference together. We are here today because Seed of Hope is facing a critical need. Our primary purpose is to plant the seed of hope in the lives of people with disability through skills training, empowerment, and community development and to meet their physical, spiritual, mental, and
social needs. People with disabilities need skills to engage in livelihood activities.
Our ministry is driven by a passion for transforming lives and fostering a more inclusive society. However, to continue this vital work, we need your help now more than ever. Your support will allow Seed of Hope to expand programs and purchase the necessary equipment for training our clients. Some of our needs include more wheelchairs, crutches, and white canes for the many disabled people in our communities who cannot afford them. We need sewing machines, knitting machines, computers, a standby generator, printers, and a permanent property for Seed of Hope with enough accommodation for our students and trainees; as you can see, we are renting and don’t have enough space here. Your contribution will significantly impact Seed of Hope and our clients. Today, we ask you to consider a donation and a partnership. By joining
forces, we can create a brighter future in our community and the lives of our disabled and most vulnerable.
