Hope for our Max

If you know Summer or I, then you know our Max is our heartbeat. He is our dog child and love every moment we get with him. He goes on adventures with us, gives us that ever so lovingly Beagle judgement, and loves a good T.R.E.A.T. (shhh-don't say it!), but now more than ever he and us are in need of some help.

Max has been a healthy dog for much of his life, but unfortunately after undergoing  some recent blood work, our veterinarian called us and told us to take him in immediately for an ultrasound. Upon reviewing it they discovered that Max has two masses in his abdomen that require immediate attention. The masses are located on his spleen and liver, but veterinarian specialist have confirmed that Max is a perfect candidate for surgery to have the masses removed and tested due to his good health and the location of the masses. The vet is giving him a good prognosis but warned us that delays in surgery can create issues as the masses can continue to grow and eventually they will rupture. This would cause Max a lot of pain and suffering that we do not want him to endure. 

So far, Max is stable and still in good spirits, but we are urgently asking for your help to save his life and get him the surgery he needs. His medical bill is estimated to be $8,000 including the surgery to remove the two masses, perform a biopsy, and hospitalization for another day. What we hope to do with the funds is pay for the surgery and vet bills that we are beginning to incur.

We know it is a lot, but for us, Max is our everything and we want to do all we can to make sure he is healthy and happy. The thought of waking up or going home and not seeing him is heartbreaking to us. We have had him for nearly ten years and to Summer and I he is more than just a dog. He makes us and anyone that he comes around smile and light up. He is a dog that loves to chase balls and lounge in the sun. We want to make sure he gets to do that as long as possible and that is why we are pursuing this option.
