Hi everyone, my name is Cristina Camacho. On July 4th, my father, Cesar, got diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a highly aggressive, malignant brain tumor with a prognosis of 9-12 months to live (with treatment). Glioblastoma is a grade 4 brain tumor and is generally considered incurable, with a poor prognosis and short survival time.
The chemotherapy and radiation treatments are the only combined treatments they are offering due to the area of the brain that his tumor is in, and surgically removing this would be a great risk.
As you can imagine, our family is devastated and we want to do anything and everything possible to overcome this prognosis and elongate his time with us for as long as possible. We are keeping the faith as much as possible during this heartbreaking and unpredictable time and want to exhaust all possible avenues and options for treatment.
Your prayers, support, and donations will help us overcome all that come with this kind of news, what feels like a ticking time clock of pain, anxiety, fear, and deep sadness. My dad is my best friend. He is a loving father, son, brother, husband, and grandparent and because of this, this diagnosis has affected so many.
All your donations and support will help us pay for all the medical and living expenses associated with Glioblastoma treatment. This includes chemotherapy, radiation, living expenses (groceries, mortgage, utilities, etc) and clinical trials associated with this journey.
Thank you to everyone and anyone for your love and support . We appreciate you more than anything.
