Hi friends, we are raising funds for a dear young lady named Luka. She began suffering and was diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis when she was 14 years old and has been suffering with debilitating chronic pain and illness since then and has been generally unable to leave her house for the past 11 years.

Just recently Luka encountered a doctor that has proven success helping people - in similar chronic inflammatory brain disease conditions as hers - return to health to be able to live a normal life.

The reason for this GoFundMe is that this would be a 21 month highly personalized intensive treatment that frustratingly is not covered by insurance. The treatment costs $1,833 a month and therefore the total cost for the 21 months of treatment will be $38,500. Luka has saved up $5000 of her own but is not able to pay the remaining $33,500.
