Lisa and I are high school sweethearts who have been together for eighteen incredible years. She is my best friend and soul mate, who I had the honor of marrying in July 2016. Lisa's desire to dedicate herself to saving the lives of others was the reason she pursued and obtained her degree in medicine. At the time, Lisa had completed her internship and was at the cusp of a fulfilling career as a Medical Doctor.
Following our wedding in July 2016, brain tumor symptoms arose, and she was diagnosed with a low grade glioma in September 2016. This required emergency brain surgery followed by radiation treatment. AAt that time, the tumor seemed stable and allowed her to advance her passion for being a doctor and providing the best care to her patients.
In 2020, the seemingly stable tumor began growing with imminent issues if not treated. A full year of chemotherapy was administered even while she continued working diligently, ending in December 2021. By the first few weeks of March 2022, she had a sudden onset of symptoms, including intense headaches. An MRI showed a significant and aggressive increase in size and spread, which resulted in a prognosis of potentially 3 to 6 months of life. Urgent Neurosurgical debulking surgery was performed, and pathology tests confirmed a progression to a Stage IV condition (Glioblastoma Multiforme).
Lisa is now undergoing radiation treatment and chemotherapy again with the hopes of slowing down this terrible disease. She continues to have neurological consequences of her condition and requires additional support for her activities of daily living.
Our family is humbly appealing for financial assistance to give this wonderful, kind-hearted soul a chance for longer, better quality life. Thank you so much in advance for your contribution.
