Hope for Lisa and Richard after Palisades Fire

Lisa and Richard McAndrews lost their home and all its contents in the Palisades fire. I am their daughter and wanted to start a Go Fund Me to help them cover their expenses, not covered by insurance, over the coming weeks as they navigate next steps.

Though luckily they have insurance that will cover some of the loss, they will face exceptional expenses especially in the early days of this tragedy. Losing a home full of over 30 years of memories has been devastating and many of the items, though just things, are irreplaceable. I was raised there, as were my 3 brothers- I raised my 2 young children there during Covid. I’m hopeful to take their mind of immediate finances and allow them to grieve not only their home but the entire community and life as they knew it that is lost. Both are self employed and the hardest working people I know. I’d like to give them time to rebuild without worry.

Their home was full of family memories we will all cherish forever: the famous Sunday night dinners where anyone was welcome around the table, the countless birthdays and holidays, the seemingly revolving door of people in need of a room staying with them for both long and short periods of time. They put everything they had and an immense amount of love into that home and made everyone feel welcome.

These funds will be directly going to them to cover their expenses not covered by insurance.
