Hope for Juan Zavala
Donation protected

Dear Family and Friends of Juan Zavala,
Several days ago, Juan suffered a catastrophic stroke while changing a lightbulb at work. Unfortunately, he is currently in a coma at a local hospital. We are actively hoping and praying for a better prognosis than has been presented. Nonetheless, your love, well-wishes, and thoughts are more than welcome and are urgently needed.
Juan and his wife Gladys have 3 beautiful children: Kevin (15), Eliana (12), and Eli (9), all who enjoy playing soccer. When they grow up, Kevin and Eliana aspire to become counselors and help children.
Up until this tragic event, Juan averaged working 60 hours between two jobs, in which he supported housekeeping and maintenance services at Pediatric Subacute Center in Saratoga (9 years) and South Peninsula Hebrew Day School in Sunnyvale (18 years). Juan is a very hard worker and well-liked by his colleagues; he makes people smile and takes the initiative to offer an extra helping hand.
On top of this, he is a phenomenal and committed family man who does everything he can to support his children, including providing transportation between home and school/extracurricular activities on a daily basis.
Gladys also works for South Peninsula Hebrew Day School, however, in order to support Juan at the hospital, she had to abruptly cease working. Although there is worry about making ends meet secondary to significant loss in household income, the primary focus (and purpose for this fundraising campaign) is on Juan's care and ensuring that his medical bills (copays, deductibles, etc.) are paid. With this aspect minimized, it will provide more opportunity for Juan's family to focus on being there for Juan, just as he has always been for them
As Juan's family and friends, we are now reaching out to you, We humbly request that you donate what you can to support Juan and his family. Any amount helps.
We thank you for your love, generosity, compassion, and prayers forJuan and his family during this extremely difficult time.
Fundraising Note:
This GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Kathy Nguyen and Rodrigo Galindo. All proceeds (less card transaction fees of 2.9%+ $0.30 per donation) will be directly handed over to Juan's family for the purposes mentioned above.
