Hope for Jessica: A Mother's Battle with Cancer

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to share the story of an incredible woman, Jessica Kauppila — a devoted single mother of three, a loving sister, and a fiercely courageous soul who has been battling stage 4 glioblastoma for nearly 3 years.

At just 44 years old, Jessica has endured more than most of us can imagine. Since her diagnosis, she has faced this devastating illness with grace and resilience, determined to hold on for her children and for the life she still hopes to live. Despite enduring multiple surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy, and radiation, her condition has not improved — and her options here in the United States have come to an end.

Jessica no longer qualifies for any U.S.-based clinical trials. The hospitals and specialists have exhausted their resources, and she has been told there is nothing more they can offer.

But we refuse to believe this is the end.

A glimmer of hope remains in a promising trial treatment being offered in Beijing, China — a program that has shown encouraging outcomes for patients with Jessica’s condition. This treatment represents a final, desperately needed chance at life — a chance to fight for more time with her children, who still need their mother by their side.

The cost of this treatment, along with travel and medical expenses, is significant — far beyond what Jessica or our family can afford alone. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
