Jeremy was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta — a proud father, loving son, brother, and friend to so many who know his heart and his humour. Today, he and his partner, Alexis, live together in their cozy condo surrounded by love, family, and a deep sense of togetherness as they face the biggest challenge of their lives.

Just two weeks ago, Jeremy was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) — a devastating neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Earlier this year, Jeremy began noticing changes in his mobility and strength, but nothing could have prepared them for how quickly those symptoms would progress.

Jeremy has spent over 20 years in the flooring industry, known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and dedication to supporting those he loves. He has always been the main provider and the one others could rely on. Now, as ALS takes away his physical strength, Alexis has stepped into the role of his full-time caregiver, while continuing to attend school online to become a Dental Administrator. This allows her to stay by Jeremy’s side and care for him every day, balancing her studies with compassion and unwavering dedication.

Despite the challenges, Jeremy and Alexis make it a point to hold onto positivity and hope. Alexis does everything she can to get Jeremy out and about — even when it’s hard — because they both believe in making the most of every moment. They find joy in life’s simplest pleasures: cooking and baking together, cheering on their favourite sports teams, and spending quiet evenings filled with laughter and love.

Jeremy is also a devoted and loving father. He shares a wonderful co-parenting relationship with his daughter’s mother, and together they are navigating how to plan for their daughter’s future while cherishing every precious moment they have now. Jeremy’s love and guidance continue to be a steady light in his daughter’s life — one that will shine forever.

With Jeremy no longer able to work and Alexis needing to remain home to care for him, financial strain has quickly become one of their greatest challenges. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward:

• Daily living expenses while Alexis cannot work full-time
