Help James Fight for His Health and Recovery

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and loved one, James, who has been fighting an incredibly tough battle with his health and could really use our support right now.

In June 2018, James was diagnosed with advanced squamous cell carcinoma. After surgery that summer, he recovered well for a while. But in 2022, the cancer came back, and he faced multiple major surgeries and skin grafts. Those procedures caused lymphedema and other painful complications — yet James never lost his positive attitude or his sense of humor.

Just last month, James was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with osteomyelitis, a serious bone infection that has now spread to his pelvic bone. He was first treated at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where doctors told him there wasn’t much more they could do. But James refused to give up. He sought a second opinion at St. Michael’s Hospital in Newark, NJ, where doctors gave him a ray of hope. He’s now undergoing more tests and seeing multiple specialists as he continues this long road to recovery.

Over the past year, James has gone through chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy, and now faces this new infection. He’s been unable to work for most of the year, and his medical and home expenses are piling up.

Anyone who knows James knows his generous spirit — he’s always the first to offer help to others. Now, he needs us. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward his medical care, travel expenses for treatments, and basic living costs while he focuses on healing.
