Update on Hulk...
He was throwing up a lot of blood yesterday, more than I've ever seen come out of an animal. I called his vet, and they refused to see him for an emergency visit. They gave me every number for urgent care vets, and I called every one, but all wouldn't see him due to capacity.
I spent hours holding him while he cried and running him outside to vomit while getting a "no" from everyone.
My mom called her vet and somehow got him in to be seen by 2:30.
I'm lucky enough to have friends who care about me enough to help me get there while I don't have a car. My partner took him home and snuggled him last night at his house so he wasn't alone at the vet all night.
I was told that he has a tear or something going on in his pancreas. He has to stay for 2 days, and if he gets better, he can come home. But if he doesn't, he has to be transferred somewhere else. He was very dehydrated and needed lots of fluids through an I.V. last night.
The vet says some dogs do really well with the treatments and some get worse... all we can do is hope for the best.
The doctors at Hilton Veterinary Hospital and Reproductive Services ICSB-New York are amazing. I'm so thankful, and I already notice a huge difference in the energy of this vet compared to his last vet. His vet bill is going to be very expensive, but I'm glad he's being taken care of by people who actually care about animals.
Keep our family in your thoughts. Quinn is very close with him and is very upset. This is my boy, and I've fought so hard for him.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out. I'll keep you all updated.
Unfortunately, I am starting this GoFundMe to help with his bills.
At this point, his bills are around $1,500, not including medication or possible transporting to another hospital.
Please know everything helps... I hate these things, but I'm desperate to help him.
Thank you
