Hop is a five-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, and also the light of my life. As of January 29th, he fell extremely ill. I am a full-time college student already doing everything I can to stay afloat financially, but Hop’s medical bills have already reached $10,000. I simply cannot manage this on my own.
Diagnostic imaging revealed free fluid in his abdomen, fluid accumulation in the small intestines, and multiple masses, including one on the stomach lining, small intestine, and on the spleen. Hop has required emergency hospitalization, intensive IV fluid therapy to address severe dehydration, pain and nausea management, diagnostic imaging, and continuous monitoring to stabilize his condition. Then, on January 31st, he went in for a major abdominal surgery to remove the mass from his intestine and staple his stomach, as well as biopsy all of what they were able to find. He is still requiring ongoing care.
Hop is so young. He is gentle, loving, and full of life, and he is my reason to get up in the morning. Hop also raised my two beloved cats from kitten-hood, and they would be devastated without their big brother. I am asking for help with a heavy heart, but also with hope. Any donation, share, or kind word means more than I can express. Your support and all funds will go directly toward Hop’s emergency care and treatment, and it will give him a fighting chance.
Please help Hop. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring about him and about us.
