Our sweet Henry is facing another incredibly difficult road, and as his family, we’re hoping to surround him and the entire Dolan family with as much love, prayer, and support as possible.

Henry is in heart failure and has been diagnosed with stage 4 Cardiac Allograft Vasculopathy (CAV), a severe and irreversible form of coronary artery disease that can affect a transplanted heart. Because of this, Henry has begun the process of being relisted for a second heart transplant.

The current wait for a donor heart can be around 12–18 months. Due to the severe narrowing of Henry’s arteries and the risk it poses, he will not be able to wait for his new heart from home.

Once he is listed, Henry will be admitted to the Pediatric ICU at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Mary's Campus in Rochester, where he, Mollie/Sam, and other family members will be staying throughout his wait.

During this time, the Dolans will be navigating life in two places for what could be a year or longer. Caring for Henry at Mayo while also maintaining a steady home for his sisters will not be an easy feat. There are many unknowns ahead, and so much for this family to carry.

For now, they have about a month together at home while Henry finishes the relisting process. They’re soaking up this time together and taking things one day at a time.

Henry’s extended hospital stay will bring added expenses for the Dolan family. Your contributions will go towards travel expenses, loss of income, uncovered medical expenses, items of comfort, and more.
