My name is Anna Trupiano, and I am reaching out to ask for support for one of the kindest, most thoughtful families I know as they face every parent’s worst nightmare.

On Wednesday, September 3rd Robyn and CJ decided to take their typically energetic, playful two year old son, Henry, to the doctor's to calm some worries they had about his fatigue, bruising, and general cold symptoms Henry had been having for the past couple weeks. In less than twenty four hours he had urgent bloodwork done, was sent by his pediatrician to the emergency room at Helen Devos Children's Hospital, admitted, and diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Robyn and CJ immediately shifted their lives into the hospital to be by Henry’s side, where his incredible treatment team immediately began chemotherapy and outlined a two-and-a-half-year treatment plan. The road ahead will be long and exhausting, filled with weekly treatments, countless hospital visits, and many days of missed work as Robyn and CJ dedicate themselves to Henry’s fight.

This family would never ask for help themselves, but those of us who love them want to lift some of the weight from their shoulders. By contributing, you can help ensure that Robyn and CJ’s focus stays where it belongs—on Henry’s healing, not on the financial strain of this unexpected journey.
