Hello Everyone, my name is Mariah Cartagena. My siblings and I are writing this on behalf of my dad, Victor Cartagena, because I know that he would never ask for financial help from anyone, but he is going to need it. On Sunday, December 1st, we got the worst phone call we would ever receive. He was the victim of a senseless act of violence. He was shot and was an innocent target of an attempted murder at a grocery store less than 2 minutes away from where we were currently in a church service. To say the least, this has left him with severe physical and emotional trauma and has had a devastating impact on our family, both emotionally and financially. But the God we serve is a God of miracles. He blocked what was meant to be an attempt on my dad’s life & thanks to Him my dad is expected to make a full recovery. However, that is going to take some time. He won’t be able to work for a while & we want to help him in any way we can so that he can focus on getting better. We are organizing a series of fundraising events and online campaigns to help cover these expenses and ensure that my dad can focus on his recovery, without the added stress of financial strain. Any support, whether through donations or sharing our story would mean the world to us during this challenging time. Anything that you can donate will help us reach that goal. This will be used for his medical bills & sustaining himself while he gets better & can work again.
