Help Out Harsh!

Donation protected
Hello everyone! Please consider helping my friend in India who is homeless as a result of his late mother's medical bills! (Details below.)

My name is Daniel Mosbarger and I am raising money to help out my friend Harsh Panchal. Harsh and I met on Instagram through a page that I run called @libtyfi. He recognized that I was using the page to try to help others and wondered if I might be able to help him. Over the past couple weeks we have messaged and videochatted (see photo below) several times and Harsh has shared with me his story. I've come to trust Harsh and desperately want to help him. Below you'll learn why.

Harsh is 24 years old and lives in Indore, India. His father passed away in 2003. Then in 2012, his mother's health started to decline. First it was asthma, then tuberculosis which ultimately turned into cancer.   Without any other family to help, he had to drop out of school at the age of 17 to get a job to pay for his mother's medical bills. Unfortunately, Harsh's mother lost her battle against cancer on March 23rd of 2018.

Harsh wasn't able to work while he tended to his mother and has struggled to find work after her passing. This means his debts from the medical bills have only mounted. Harsh has been very transparent with me about what his debts are for (amounts in US dollars):
 - $5800 for medical bills.
 - $1450 for attempting to start a business to help pay the medical bills

Harsh came across my Instagram page right when things started to get really bad.  Since we started chatting, some of his previous friends who lent him money have come and ransacked his apartment and beat him. His landlord is likely to kick him out onto the street as of the day I am writing this. He will then be trying to live at a local temple or on the street until we can get him the funds he needs to get back on his feet.

After talking with him for hours, I really trust him. He is a genuine guy who wants to get his life back together and has lacked the means to do so. He has insisted that these not be considered donations, but rather small loans that he wants to pay back. He has asked for nothing, other than the funds to get a motorcycle that he can use to work for a food delivery service. This will help him repay his debts.

I want to not only help out Harsh to get that motorcycle, but also repay his debts and help him with rent for the next year. Why would I want to do that? Because this man who is being beaten for debts he incurred trying to save his mother's life now has a life goal of starting a charity that prevents anyone in India from struggling to pay for medical bills. That's right. Harsh is hoping to get this bike, repay his debts, save some money, get his college degree, find a more professional job, continue to save, and eventually start that charity. There's nothing I love more than helping one person who in turn wants to help many people.

If I haven't convinced you that we should trust and help Harsh, I hope it helps to learn that I wired him $175 which he needed to pay a debt today otherwise the police might have begun looking for him and our whole fundraising efforts would be for nothing. Yes, I gave a stranger that I met on the internet that money. That's how much I trust Harsh. Would you feel comfortable just giving $5?

I know this sounds crazy, but I've gone through quite the vetting process. Harsh has sent me countless photos of him and his mother, her medical receipts, his identification, and more. I am not sharing that to protect his privacy.

As I said, Harsh is only asking for the money for the bike and try to pay his debts off with the money he makes from his new job. I fear that he would have to be homeless while the debts are repayed, so I want to go above and beyond for him. Below is a summary of what the $8,500 would be used for.
 - $1,500 for a new motorcycle
 - $5,800 to repay his debts
 - $1,200 for 12 months of rent and food

It would be pretty amazing to help out Harsh now, and learn years down the road that he was able to help hundreds of people from falling into a similar situation to his current one. Again, Harsh insists he will try with all his might to pay everyone back so please leave your information and I will be in touch if and when that is possible. Thank you so much!
