Hope for Harper: Help raise funds for Harper’s medical needs

Harper is a sweet 3 year old girl who was injured May 5th, and now has a deadline of tomorrow at 3pm or she will be euthanized due to the shelter not being able to help care for her.

On Monday, a Good Samaritan found Harper in Dekalb County broken and in urgent need of medical attention. Unfortunately, their car broke down on the way to DCAS, and Gwinnett County kindly took her in. Harper arrived without a microchip and the shelter has been unable to locate an owner. We are unsure what caused her injuries exactly, but they are severe.

Harper has suffered multiple fractures on the left side

of her pelvis, including:

1. Left ischium

2. Left acetabulum

3. Crushed left ilial wing

4. Suspected fracture at the left sacroiliac (SI) joint

Due to the severity of her injuries, Harper urgently needs specialized diagnostics, care, and rehabilitation to give her a chance at a pain-free, happy life.

We’ve attached her kennel X-rays, and a short video to help you get to know her better.

Despite her injuries, Harper’s gentle demeanor continues to shine through. She has hope and wants to fight. We want to give her the chance to do that and eventually find a loving home and start over.

She is broken, bruised and tired, but her spirit is alive and though you see the pain in her eyes, we also see hope and the will to fight. Please help us give her that chance.
