Hope for Grayson

My name is Grayson O’Donnell and I am 12 years old from Doaktown, NB. Ever since the age of 2, I’ve suffered with seizures. The doctors haven’t been able to figure out why these happen but have tried numerous medications and tests. The medications have either not worked, or I haven’t been able to tolerate them. My parents, Terry & Shyanne O’Donnell and I have been waiting for a call for 10 years to go to Toronto to get a second opinion. We recently got the call and will be leaving August 19th and coming home September 1st. I’ll be having a full work up of test that include a PET scan, CT scan, MEG scan (not available to me in NB) and a full neuropsychological exam. The first week I am in and out of the hospital, and the second week I stay for the full week for a video EEG. Although this trip is what I’ve always waited for, it does come at a cost. Both of my parents will be taking the full 2 weeks off of work to come with me. Medicare has approved to take care of the test but not for our trip.
