Help for cancer, Hair for Heroes
Our beloved grandad, Patrick McCartney, has been fighting a devastating battle with cancer and currently still is, and our family is doing everything we can to honour him and help others facing the same battle. To raise awareness for cancer research and bring hope to children affected by this cruel disease, my four-year-old son—whose hair we’ve been growing since birth—is finally ready to cut his beautiful long hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust, in honour of his great grandad, my Grandad. His donation will help create a wig for a child going through cancer treatment, who unfortunately has lost their hair as a result. This is our way of giving back, in the only way we can, celebrating strength in the face of pain and adversity, while spreading love during one of the most difficult times we can endure. Any donations will go toward supporting cancer research and helping us honour our grandad’s life and legacy, as well as the lives of those who have also fought cancer. Any and all donations would be lovely.
