I’m reaching out not only as a mother who has experienced loss, but as someone determined to help ensure no other family has to endure that same heartbreak. Our journey has inspired us to begin developing a new medical device designed to improve monitoring during pregnancy—one that could help detect early warning signs and ultimately prevent in-utero loss.
We believe that by combining lived experience with innovation, we can bring hope and change to thousands of families in the future.
Together, we can make sure every heartbeat has a chance.
In August of 2025, I was set to deliver a perfect full term baby girl. A warm, sunny Monday afternoon we went and did our blood work and I had felt her move while at my final appointment before the scheduled C-section Tuesday morning. When we arrived at the hospital on Tuesday, we were preparing for the surgery when we got the unexpected news. They couldn’t find a heartbeat. Our baby girl, who I felt kick, wiggle and move for the past 9 months wasn’t breathing, wasn’t moving but worst of all, wasn’t coming home with us. Our 7 lbs. 5 oz. 21 inches long, 10 fingers & 10 toes perfect little girl died in the womb overnight. Still we dont have answers as to why this happened to us, everything came back normal on the tests.
Had there been an ELH Fetal device like we are wanting to provide, our little girl might be here with us today. A technical overview of our device would improve the survival rate of potentially high-risk births.
Ideally, we would like to have something ready for use as soon as possible before another child is lost.
We believe that the ELH Fetal device would benefit not only “high-risk” pregnancies but also millions of patients, and hope that you will find it in your hearts and budget to support this device.
