Miguel and Nicolasa each carry a genetic condition which lay dormant as long it it is contained. Years after the birth of their first child, Elvis, became ill. After much research doctors diagnosed his symptoms as Batten Disease--a very rare, fatal, genetic disorder. Elvis hangs onto his last days of life, while his little sister has recently been diagnosed with the same disease. The little sister is one of the few to be selected to go through testing as scientist attempt to find a cure. The family will leave their home in Portland and travel to Ohio in hopes of finding a cure for Fatima. Let's join their plight by pitching in $10, $20, $50, or any amount you are able to donate. If you can please donate anything it will be a huge help for this family to put towards medical and relocation expenses, for both Fatima and Elvis as they will take him with all his medical supplies to Ohio.  These parents need all the help they can receive in order to continue fighting and providing the best quality of life for their beautiful children.

Estamos juntando fondos para apoyar a una familia en Portland, OR. Elvis tiene 7 años y tiene una enfermedad que se llama Batten, es una condición genética y es fatal. Su hermanita de 2 años, Fatima también lo tiene. Son los unicos 2 ninos en todo el estado de Oregon que lo tiene, es muy raro. Fatima fue aceptada a un centro de tratamiento en otro estado donde nadamas aceptan a 7 niños en todo el mundo. La familia se está preparando para irse muy pronto con esperanza de parar a este enfermedad para que Fatima tenga un niñez normal y feliz. Esta familia tendrá que empesar de nuevo en un lugar desconocido y sin nada. Cualquier cantidad de dinero que alguien puede donar les ayudaría mucho y la familia estará agradecidos  siempre.
