Hope for Ethiopia Community Permaculture Project
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sara. I am an Australian permaculture designer. I am raising funds so my Ethiopian colleague, Tesfahun Fitamo, can educate residents of Lakole Burkito Kebele to use permaculture practices to improve their lives and become self-sustainable
Tesfahun is a highly qualified Permaculture practitioner and teacher, having already trained over 3000 people in Ethiopia. He completed his Permaculture Design Certificate with Sector 39 Academy from Britain, UK and has a degree in Agricultural Engineering and Mechanization.
He and another trainer, Tseganesh Legesse, will hold a Permaculture Design Certificate for community residents. Project outcomes will include establishing a local, sustainable agricultural system, improving community economic wellbeing, creating a greener, more productive lived environment, and developing a pool of community permaculture experts.
Funding will be used to pay for the following:
- Transportation to and from the project site
- Fencing of the project site
- Teaching and learning materials
- Farming tools for participants
- Payment for the two trainers.
