In the video above, Emmy explains in her own words what she's been going through & the symptoms she has to live with.
my friend Emmy Macnicol lives with multiple rare & chronic illnesses - and has been sent home by doctors to die, dismissed & put on end-of-life care, even though she’s only 31, and even though there are other options available that could still help her to have a better quality of life and live for longer - they just aren't available on the NHS.
Emmy is a dear friend to many, a daughter, a sister and an aunty. She is an absolute delight of a human being. A lovely soul, who goes out of her way to be kind to all she meets. She deserves support, she deserves a chance, she deserves to live.
Emmy is fighting numerous chronic illnesses but NHS Scotland, where she lives are not willing to help her any more, even though the specialist doctors in London say there is operations and procedures that could help her to have a better quality of life & a longer life.
She has been failed time & time again by various doctors & departments, which has resulted in lots of misdiagnoses, conditions getting worse, being mistreated, being put through more pain & suffering and not being believed or listened to.
We're hoping to raise a minimum of £25,000 so that she can have the tests & rare surgeries that could help her to have hope for a brighter future or a future at all.
