Meet Eli

Eli is our beautiful 8-year-old son with the brightest smile and the most loving soul. He was diagnosed with autism on May 1st, 2019—a moment that changed our lives forever. Since then, our days have been filled with both extraordinary challenges and unwavering hope.

The Challenges

A System That Isn’t Built for Children Like Eli

Despite our dedication, navigating the healthcare and education systems for Eli has been an uphill battle. We constantly face barriers—limited specialists, underfunded programs, and bureaucratic red tape that delays vital services. Eli was on multiple waitlists for therapies for over a year, only to be placed in programs with limited session times and overworked staff. Even when services became available, they were often short-term, inconsistent, or canceled due to staffing shortages. The lack of long-term, individualized care has made it difficult for Eli to maintain progress, and each disruption sets him back emotionally and developmentally.

A Difficult Road

Eli has bravely endured endless transitions. Despite our efforts to provide consistent therapy, speech, OT, PT, ABA, feeding therapy, and even pursuing a service dog, he still struggles. Eli is non-verbal, cannot yet feed or dress himself, and is not fully potty trained yet. He also lacks safety awareness and once attempted to run into a busy street. Nights are especially hard, with frequent overstimulation and anxiety disrupting his sleep and learning.

A Glimmer of Hope

We are now turning to a breakthrough: mesenchymal stem cell therapy. Research shows up to 85% of children with autism respond positively, with gains in speech, emotional regulation, sleep, and sociability. Every night, we sit beside Eli and talk to him about our day, about how proud we are, and how much we love him. We don’t know if he fully understands, but we speak those words into the quiet, hoping that one day he’ll speak back. That moment is what we’re fighting for.
