Hope for Duane

I truly don’t know where to start, so I’m going to start with the the title. Hope for Duane, this page is not only asking for financial help. We are asking for prayers, laughs, love and support through this unexpected journey. I never in a million years thought I would be here saying this. My Dad, Duane Drinkwine was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We found out in early October. He had to go in for additional tests to figure out a plan of action. By the end of October we found out that it had spread to his ribs, spine and skull and is deemed incurable. The recent moments I have shared with him have been heartbreaking because he is in so much pain but in true dad fashion would never admit. The plan now is to stop the growth of the cancer by taking medication daily along with a shot every 4 months which he will have to travel to receive. My dad also lost his job in August along with my mom who lost hers in March due to covid. Those who know my dad know he’s a giver, always has been. I’m on here asking for help because I know he won’t. If I can help prolong my dads life even by a day I will. He is everything to me, his family and his friends.

as mentioned above my father was laid off due to covid therefore does not currently have insurance. We are not the type of people to ask for things but with the extreme cost of the medicine, we are trying to surprise my parents on Christmas just in time for the first dose of medicine. We are hopeing this will lift their spirits in a dark time and allow them to truly enjoy the holidays. Any donation would mean the world to our family and we couldn’t begin to put our gratitude  into words. I know in the world we live in today this is a lot to ask, so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
