Dr. Ibekilo Augustine Needs Our Help to Stay Alive
Dr. Augustine is a young Nigerian medical doctor who is now fighting for his own life. He has been battling a rare genetic condition known as Glucocorticoid Remediable Aldosteronism, along with chronic kidney disease, neurological damage, and a severe cervical spinal cord compression that now leaves him dependent on cervical traction 24/7, just to stay alive. Without treatment, he suffers full-body paralysis, loss of bladder and bowel control, and unbearable pain. His medications alone cost over ₦500,000 ($370) every month. Despite these challenges, he remains hopeful, and so are we.
Phase 1 Goal: $10,000 – Six Months of Lifesaving Treatment.
This initial goal is to raise $10,000 to cover approximately six months of Dr. Augustine’s urgent medical needs. His medications alone cost ₦500,000/month (~$370 USD).
This amount will provide him with:
• Monthly life-sustaining medications (Spironolactone, Dexamethasone, Potassium Chloride, and more).
• Nutritional and electrolyte support for chronic kidney disease.
• Neuropathic pain management for spinal cord compression
• Cervical traction materials and basic monitoring.
This campaign isn’t just about one-time aid. We are using these six months to build a path forward. During this time, we will:
• Establish a monthly donor base
• Reach out to medical aid organizations and drug programs
• Pursue partnerships, sponsorships, and possibly launch a nonprofit foundation for Dr. Augustine and others in similar need.
Your gift today doesn’t just keep him alive, it gives us time to build a long-term solution.
