Help Support Brave Little Clyde ❤️

Clyde, our sweet 4-year-old grandson, was recently diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD), a rare and progressive disease that affects the nervous system. MLD can slowly take away skills children have already learned like movement, speech, independence, learning, and the ability to enjoy everyday parts of childhood. As it progresses, things that once felt effortless can become more difficult, which is why acting early and exploring every available path forward is so important.

But before anything else — Clyde is not a diagnosis.

He is a little boy who loves music and dance parties, carries around his favorite chicken and teddy, and comes alive outside at the beach with his brothers and sister. His favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas. He is funny, curious, loving, and brings joy everywhere he goes.

As parents, nothing prepares you to hear words like this spoken about your child. In an instant, life shifts and your days become filled with decisions, uncertainty, and finding strength you never knew you had, all while trying to protect the little person who still just wants to laugh, play, and be loved.

This fundraiser was created to help support Clyde through the road ahead. Donations will help with:

• Travel to specialist and treatment appointments

• Accommodation and meals during hospital stays

• Medical and therapy-related expenses

• Lost income while providing care

• Additional needs that come with accessing the best support possible
