Hope for Chewie

Chewie Mon is an amazing human being who has always put others before herself. She is the perfect friend, the best global travel companion, a foodie at heart and loves Yoga. Oh and her favorite animal is a Platypus. Her favorite dog is a Corgi. She is a rare kind of person on this planet who you never catch without a smile and a positive attitude.  And she has a rare brain cancer. 

Back in October of 2019 a month before her 29th birthday, she was leaving the house in the early morning to go to work but never showed up. She was found on her bedroom floor having a seizure. 

She was rushed to the hospital where they found a massive brain tumor on her frontal lobe.  Within a week she underwent brain surgery where they removed a section of her brain, but they had to leave the tumor on the left side for fear of causing brain damage. 

Being who she is, before going into surgery and as soon as she woke up from surgery her number one concern was to make sure everyone else was doing ok, never concerned for her own well being. This is Chewie Mon.  

When the test came back from the biopsy they discovered she had a rare form of cancer that needed aggressive treatment, so she started chemotherapy and radiation immediately, however this is just the beginning in a long journey to recovery.  

She needs much more treatment not only for the tumor, but for all the side effects and after effect on her body and mind.  Since she can't drive she need people to drive her too and from doctors appointments, some an hour away.  

She has an amazing support team of friends around her doing what they can, but financial resources are limited, so if you can donate even a single dollar to help with medical costs, transportation and gas and all the other unforeseen expenses that will incur in order to make sure this amazing human being stay with us for a long time. 

As she doesn't have the luxury of time, the funds are needed immediately to continue her treatments and her alternative holistic treatments to repair the damage from the chemotherapy and radiation so her body can continue to recover and overcome this disease.
