Hope and prayers for Carlos, continuing treatment

Update:

Sadly, there's no trial that Carlos currently qualifies for. Docs suggest he does a few rounds of a more tolerated chemo and see how he does. If he can tolerate it, they said staying on it can prolong his life but only a bit, but it could help with pain and enable him to eat better. There is a clinical trial starting in the spring if he's still doing okay.

For now, Carlos is staying on the same holistic regimen he's been on because it seems to be at least slowing growth down. Docs are confused why his cancer hasn't grown incredibly by now so we must be doing something right.

He will continue to consider chemo but many more questions from docs in Boston have to be answered before he will move forward with that. Also he's continuing with the holistic approach, correct diet and lots of prayer. Right now, he's still feeling good... tired, but good. Some days he feels like "junk" , his words but he's still Carlos, smiling, joking, climbing ladders and dancing when he thinks people aren't looking. Business as usual, DEFEAT IS NOT AN OPTION, he says.

While it's not the results or miracle we were praying for, Houston and MD Anderson Cancer center has treated us amazingly. We met some pretty awesome people down here, enjoyed the journey to Texas and at least have comfort in knowing we left no stone unturned.

I wanted to give all our friends and loyal and new customers an update on Carlos. As most of you know, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and not given much hope past six months. Two hospitals have told us that. We have an opportunity for him to have a potential clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas on Aug 4-7 with several appointments scheduled each day. This is our last glimmer of hope to start some kind of treatment and save his life.

All that being said, we decided to reach out through a GoFundMe in hopes to raise the money for this trip and any future treatment trips that are offered.
