On December 23rd, 2019, my father Bouacha Thao had difficulties breathing. In a worry, my mother rushed him to a hospital. *Note that they live in Laos*. Once they arrived at the hospital, my father's heart had completely stopped. He was given immediate assistance which allowed his heart to pump again. However, my father's heart was beating very weak. In attempt to treat this, the hospital put him under sleep medications to ease his heart. In the meantime, his will being was on life support. After the 6th day, he finally awoke, however, his heart is still was still in poor condition. If that wasn't the worst, my father could not move his body. On January 8, 2020, we heard the unfortunate news that his heart's arteries are clogged which is making blood flow very difficult. The hospital has stated that they are not able to perform surgery due to lack of experience and skills. My immediate family has decided to to transport him to Thailand where medical professionals have more experience and knowledge with heart surgery. However, in Southeast Asia, there is no medical insurance and medical expenses are crippling. My family and I are asking for financial help with the medical expenses in my father's journey. Without this surgery, there is no chance that he will return home. All donations will be directly used towards medical expense (transportation, surgery, recovery, etc.).
