Milena Vasquez was born July 20th 2021.
Just shy of her 1st birthday she contracted Covid, and was rushed to the hospital. After a day and a half of being transferred to 4 different hospitals we finally arrived at the Stanford Children’s Hospital. Three weeks in baby Milena has been treated and diagnosed with Mitochondria disease with a gene mutation called FDXR. What does that mean for Milena, not only being premature and being developmentally delayed but now poor growth, muscle weakness and has to rely on a g-tube for eating and a ventilator.
This has not been easy. I her mother Vanessa have not left her side permanently residing in the hospital with our little warrior. Due to this not only did I have to take time off of work but also her father Adrian for important Dr. appointments and hospital trips. On top of that we do have a 2 year old daughter named Gloria. I made this to help out our family’s financial burdens and to help keep our family going and give Milena the life she’s fighting for. We thank you and are grateful for any prayers, thoughts, and support you can provide. If you are unable to donate please take the time and share!
