Aya Foura is a mother trying to survive in Gaza with her husband and their four children - Khader (8yo), Sham (6yo), Samia (4yo), and Omar (1yo). Aya’s husband owned a textile factory with his brothers, and it was destroyed by the occupation’s bombs. The family lived in their home for less than a week, which they spent 7 years building from the ground up, before they were forcibly displaced to southern Gaza. Now, the family is living in a tent.
Famine is rampant in Gaza due to the blockade and extremely high prices of goods in the Gaza strip. Aya’s family is not able to afford necessities like food, diapers, and proper shelter.
Aya has an urgent mutual aid request for donations to pay for basic necessities (food, water, shelter, diapers, formula, etc.)
A message from Aya:
“Hello, I am Aya from Gaza, a mother of four children.
(Khader, Sham, Samia and Omar))
My first son Khader is 8 years old, he is supposed to be in school, have friends, and start his life like any other child. My second daughter Sham is 6 years old, she is supposed to be in kindergarten, have friends, study and learn. Unfortunately, my children's lives were hell when the war started. My third daughter Samia, who is 4 years old, lived in fear, terror and a difficult life. My fourth son Omar Al-Zay is a year and a half old, I couldn't even provide him with diapers, and I don't know how to deal with him in these difficult circumstances.
Also, my husband had a warehouse for fabrics, and unfortunately it was completely burned and we lost a lot of money. He also had a shipment that burned with the warehouse.
But that's not all. Now I live in a tent with my children and husband. I also built our beautiful house, which took 7 years to build. When I lived in it for 6 days, the terrible war broke out and we were forcibly displaced to southern Gaza.
I lost my home, my family, my equipment, and my entire life. I no longer have any income to help me continue my life. .
But that's not all. The hardest thing we are going through is displacement and the difficulty of finding water and food. Most of the basic food needs are not available in Gaza, and if they are available, it will be at a price we cannot afford. My children and I have endured hunger, unclean water, displacement, fatigue, and living in a tent. I hope you can help me so that I can provide for my children's needs and compensate for what they have lost. .”
