Geetika, a resident of Regina, came to Canada in 2022 after enduring many hardships, driven by the hope of building a better future for herself and her only son, Archit. Due to unavoidable family circumstances, she had to leave Archit behind in India. For over two years, she longed to reunite with him. That long-awaited moment finally came in August 2024, when Archit joined her in Canada. It was a time of hope, of new beginnings, and dreams of a brighter life together.

But just as they began to settle into their new life, their world was turned upside down. Archit was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer (Hodgkin's lymphoma). The emotional and physical toll of this diagnosis has been devastating. As a single parent with no family support in Regina, Geetika is now unable to work while caring for her son full-time. She is facing overwhelming emotional, mental, and financial challenges.

Archit, a brave 12-year-old, is enduring painful treatments and procedures in a foreign land, far from extended family and familiarity. Geetika is doing everything she can to stay strong for her son, but the burden is immense.
