She recorded this message from her hospital bed. Despite the mental anguish and physical agony, Angelique has not given up hope in finding recovery. And yet so many professionals around her have given up. They sent her home to die, alone, afraid and in pain. Yet, she still fights every single day, fights to survive, fights to hold onto hope, fights to have the chance to recover. Treatment for eating disorders is hard to access; there are so many barriers to people receiving the care they desperately need - one of those barriers is money. Angelique has a final hope in a 6-week placement to prepare her physically for potential future treatment options. This is why we are asking you to donate what you can today - every penny helps and could mean the difference between life and death for Angelique or someone like her.
Angelique is such a sweet, thoughtful and faith-filled person who deserves the opportunity to get better from this devastating illness. Please help give that chance before it's too late.
Thank you!!!
A special note to our generous donators:
As indicated on Angelique's US GoFundMe page, her beneficiary is noted as "David Bols." David is Angelique's brother. David has stepped in so that funds can be easily transferred from his bank account in the U.S. to Angelique, who resides in the Netherlands. All funds and donations go directly to Angelique's medical bills and toward getting the continued medical support, care, and assistance she needs to survive and heal.
