Dear friends, and compassionate individuals,

My name is Riad Haider, I came to the United States in 1984 in search of a better life. In 1997, I graduated from Southern Methodist University. However, the 2008 recession took an unforeseen toll on my professional life. Like many others, I found myself among the casualties of economic downturn, losing my job and facing an uncertain future. Despite the challenges, I persevered, knowing that brighter days would come.

Tragically, in 2017, I received the devastating news of my kidney failure. It was in 2014 that fate smiled upon me, as I met Sophie. Our connection was immediate, and in 2016, we vowed to share our lives in marriage. Sophie became my inspiration.

In 2022, I received a life-saving kidney transplant, a true second chance at life.

However, the joy was short-lived. Merely a month after my transplant, Sophie received a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 breast cancer. Our world crumbled as we faced the daunting reality of battling not one, but two life-threatening illnesses.

Since 2018, my health condition has prevented me from working, plunging us into a state of financial hardship. And we find ourselves on the brink of despair. The weight of our situation is unbearable, as we confront the agonizing truth that we cannot afford the life-saving treatments that Sophie urgently needs.

Today, with a heavy heart, I reach out to you, our beloved community, for assistance. We humbly ask for your support, both financial and emotional, to help us save Sophie's life. Your generosity can make an unimaginable difference, not just in prolonging her days but in gifting her the precious moments of love, laughter, and cherished memories that lie ahead.
