On June 1st 2013, Laura's only child Michael was tragically killed while riding his bicycle in California. I just don't have the ability to put into words how it has affected our lives and the daily struggle that Laura goes through to live the best possible life that she can. I can't say enough kind words and how thankful we are to have found Hope Floats only a few miles from home.  What Ken and Denise continue to offer us and others , truly is amazing and has helped relieve some of the pain and hurt in our hearts. While bittersweet , it was a proud moment when last year Denise asked Laura to become a "Group Leader" and assist others in their similar journey that lies ahead. Internally I struggle to ask for anything from anybody but some close friends convinced me to put this page together to help support Hope Floats Annual Memory Walk which we will be attending April 28th. They have not and will not charge for any of their services which is why I would like to help.
